3D Scanning
The process3D scanning is the process of collecting digital data, shape and possibly color, of complex objects with a scanning system. The collected data can then be used to make a very accurate digital model. Unlike a CMM, which only inspects discrete points, 3D scanning can supply you with the complete digital model data for many diverse downstream uses including reverse engineering, quality inspection, and the resolution of manufacturing related process issues.
